Our experts work hand in hand to customize your care plan to your unique situation.
Most people don’t realize how much they rely on their hands and wrists until they experience problems or pain that limits their mobility. Even a minor problem with a critical finger, such as your thumb, can make your life miserable. Everyday tasks such as dressing, bathing, brushing your teeth, combing your hair and eating can become extremely difficult, if not impossible.
Sometimes, the solution is easy and requires nothing more than a simple splint or brace. Other times, the answer is more involved. Either way, we can restore your hands and wrists to normal function and give you back your active life!
Your surgeon will take the time to perform a comprehensive examination. We may use specialized tools to assess your sensation, motor function and strength.
Every exam room is equipped with a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine, which can be used to diagnose certain ailments of the hand and wrist during the visit without the need for additional testing. Your X-rays are immediately displayed on a large high-definition flat-panel screen in the exam room so you can visualize and understand your diagnosis and treatment plan. We also review your test results, such as MRI/CT images and reports, together in real-time.
We will fully discuss every procedure, even the most minor, with you so that you can make informed decisions about your treatment plan. Your surgeon will explain your diagnosis and treatment options, including nonsurgical and surgical, in language that you can understand. We will never make you feel rushed, always giving you the time you need to ask questions.
