On December 17, 2008 Dr. Kayal was featured on Channel 12 News during their "12 To Your Health" section. This segment discussed a relatively new medical breakthrough in knee replacement surgery that Dr. Kayal helped to pioneer: Outpatient Minimally Invasive Partial Knee Replacement Surgery. This technology allows for knee replacement surgery to be performed as an outpatient and through a minimally invasive 3 to 4-inch incision as compared to the traditional total knee replacement surgery requiring a 3 day hospital stay and performed through an 8 to 12-inch incision.
